Senior Strategic Advisor

Experience:

Currently serves as Senior Strategic Advisor at Almeida & Associados, while also working as an independent business consultant, providing commercial and technical advisory services to private organisations in the areas of strategic planning, organisational development and the definition of operational procedures. He is Honorary President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, a Member of the Supervisory Board of the Portuguese Institute of Statutory Auditors (Ordem dos Revisores Oficiais de Contas), a regular commentator on the Casa Comum programme of Rádio Renascença, and Chairman of the Council of Leaders and Notables at Austral University (Buenos Aires).

Previously, he served as Executive Board Member of ADP Valor, a company within the Águas de Portugal Group, with responsibility for the Finance and Innovation divisions. He was also a Member of the Portuguese Parliament from the 6th to the 15th Legislature, holding significant responsibilities in the areas of Budget and Finance, while serving as Secretary of the Assembly of the Republic, Councillor of the Municipality of Torres Vedras and President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

Throughout his professional career, he has also worked as a consultant at Leadership, DHVMC and Deloitte, was a member of Banco Português do Atlântico, and held several political, municipal and institutional positions, including President of the Supervisory Board of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Sobral de Monte Agraço, Councillor of the Municipality of Sobral de Monte Agraço, and Member of the Municipal Assembly of Sobral de Monte Agraço. He also served as a Guest Lecturer at Lusíada University, Moderna University and Atlântica University.

Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.

Master’s Degree in European Studies.
