Webinar – “How COVID-19 is impacting African Football Players and Clubs”
In this particularly challenging period of crisis and confinement, the football world is facing an extraordinary time which demands extraordinary behavior from all of us, and this is particularly true for African football.
As experts in the football industry, we believe that times of crisis also bring opportunities to rethink the African football model, and focus what African communities and fans expect.
While all African football fans around the world are eagerly awaiting the resumption of football on the field, it is critical that the leaders and stakeholders of the game focus – off the field – on protecting the most vulnerable and key actors: the PLAYERS and the CLUBS.
We decided therefore to hold an exceptional Webinar which topic is “How COVID-19 is impacting African Football Players and Clubs”, with the aim of debating relevant solutions considering the African football ecosystem.
For this Webinar, we are delighted to announce the line-up of speakers which are:
Anthony Baffoe – CAF Deputy General Secretary
Felix Anyansi-Agwu – Enyimba Intl. F.C. Chairman
Geremi Njitap – FIFPRO Africa President
Gonçalo Almeida – Former FIFA Counsel & CEO ADA
Hicham El Amrani – Former CAF General Secretary & CEO HEA Sports
Miss Mimi Fawaz, BBC Africa award winning journalist will be our Moderator.
Head over to our YouTube channel on Wednesday June 03rd at 14:00 GMT+1 or directly set a reminder by accessing the Webinar page.
People may not be able to watch football for some time, but thinking about protecting our game in Africa is a must! It is our duty to contribute to this debate so as to protect the livelihood of the lead actors of African football.
